About Five Elements Wellness
MaryClare Chiofalo is the founder of Five Elements Wellness. While working in the corporate world, MaryClare found that her weekly yoga classes and monthly Polarity sessions were the only things that kept her balanced. As MaryClare's passion for Yoga and Polarity grew, she decided that she wanted to share the benefits of these powerful practices with others.
MaryClare is a Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP) as well as a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). She also has her Masters in Business Administration (MBA). She has been practicing Yoga and Polarity since 1999. MaryClare teaches yoga (classes and private students) as well as gives Polarity sessions and works as an assistant Polarity Educator at the Yoga and Polarity Center in Malverne.

My classes are designed to strengthen, add flexibility and calm to one's body through a slow flowing series of poses - a slow vinyasa style yoga. They are also meant to honor who you are and where you are in the moment. Every day is different, and your intention for practicing yoga may change with each class. Honor your journey and the divine spark in you that shines in each moment.

Five Elements of Energy
Both Yoga and Polarity can be explained and approached through their elemental qualities. These qualities of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire are also present in every person, often with one element dominant.

Which one are you?
  • FIRE: Bright, clear, warmth, fast movement, extrovert, aggressive
  • WATER: Smooth, fluid, flowing, nurturing, mothering, boundary issues
  • AIR: Light, mobile, gentle, fast, flighty 
  • EARTH: Slow, steady, grounded, structured, stubborn 
  • ETHER: The space element, the Fifth Element. Ether holds everything.
